Debit Cards

Q: I lost my debit card. What should I do?
A: To report a lost or stolen card during normal business hours, call Adams State Bank at 402-988-2255. If the bank is not currently open, you can call 833-337-6075 for 24/7 support. We will cancel your old debit card and order you a new one.

Q: Do I need to notify the bank if I’m going on vacation?
A: If you are planning a trip out-of-state or traveling internationally, please call Adams State Bank to tell us your destination and travel dates. We can then relay this information to FraudWatch Plus so you won’t be inconvenienced with inquiries about valid transactions.

Q: I tried to use my debit card at a gas pump, but it was denied even though I have plenty on my account for the purchase. Why did this happen?
A: Many gas stations require that your account has at least $75 in it for pre-authorization. Pay inside to avoid this $75 pre-authorization.

Q: Why is there a daily limit on my debit card?
A: A limit is placed on your debit card to protect you in case your card is lost or stolen.

Q: What is my daily debit card limit? Can I have it changed?
A: To inquire about your limit or to request an increase or decrease, please call us at 402-988-2255. Limit increases will be made at our discretion.

Q: I need to make a purchase that exceeds my debit card limit. Can I have it temporarily increased?
A: If you need your limit to be increased, please call us at 402-988-2255. Limit increases will be made at our discretion.

Online Banking

Q: How do I sign up for online banking?
A: Click here to sign up for online banking.

Q: Is there a fee for online banking?
A: No. There is no fee to access your accounts through online banking. You can view your account balances, review transactions, or make transfers free of charge.

Q: Can I pay off my loan online?
A: Your loan balance will be available online, but we would appreciate it if you would contact a loan officer for the most current payoff.

Q: How do I change my online password?
A: Log in to Online Banking, click on the Preferences tab, and then click on Change Password. Your password must be at least 6 characters and include 3 of the 4 classes: Upper case letter, Lower case letter, Number, Special Character

Q: I forgot my online password. How can I get it reset?
A: If you have registered your email address you may click Forgot Password on the Login page. Enter your login and e-mail address and a temporary password will be e-mailed to you. If you do not receive an e-mail right away check your Junk or Spam mail.
If you have not registered your e-mail or you are still having an issue, you may contact Adams State Bank at 402-988-2255 or adamsstatebank@diodecom.net and a bank representative will be happy to assist you.

Q: What do I do if my account becomes disabled?
A: Contact a representative at Adams State Bank to enable your account by calling 402-988-2255 or emailing adamsstatebank@diodecom.net.

E-Statements

Q: What is an e-statement?
A: An e-Statement is an electronic version of your monthly paper statement which can be accessed via Online Banking. The e-Statement will replace your current paper statement, providing you immediate access to your account information.

Q: Is there a fee for e-statements?
A: No, e-statements are free to all Online Banking customers

Q: If I sign up for e-statements, will I still receive paper statements in the mail?
A: No, but you do have the right to reinstate your paper statement at any time. There is a $3.00 monthly fee associated with paper statements.

Q: How do I sign up for e-statements?
A: Call or click here for PDF enrollment.

Q: Where do I go to see my e-statements?
A: E-Statements are available on the 13th of each month or the next business day if the 13th falls on a weekend or bank holiday. Log on to Online Banking and click on your checking account. On the right side of the page there is a View Statements tab. Click on the tab and then the drop down box to choose the month you would like to view. You may view, save or print your statement from this page.

Q: How many months of e-statements are available online?
A: E-statements are available online for 18 months. It is also recommended that you save your e-statements to your files for future use.

General Information

Q: Where can I go to get a free credit report?
A: You can get one free credit report per year at www.annualcreditreport.com.

Q: I’m considering buying a used car and want to make sure I get a good deal. Where can I go to find car values and other useful information about potential purchases?
A: Several web sites are available to research new and used vehicles, but one we recommend is www.nadaguides.com.

Q: I have credit disability insurance on my loan with the bank and can’t work. How do I turn in a claim?
A: In order to receive credit disability benefits, paperwork must be filled out by the insured, his or her employer, and a doctor. To get the process started, please contact one of our loan officers.

Q: I’m interested in taking out a loan with Adams State Bank. How do I apply?
A: Call 402-988-2255 to speak with a loan officer, or complete this inquiry form.

Q: Why isn’t my deposit showing up on my online banking account?
A: Any deposits received at the bank’s physical location after 3:00 P.M. will not show up on your online account until the next business day. Keep in mind that online deposits are processed in a real-time environment.
